Things To Look For In An RV Site

One great thing about having an RV is that you can camp at parks worldwide. However, not all parks are the same, and it's important to know what features you want before booking a site. While every family will have unique preferences, these are some of the features an RV site might have:

Full Hookup

When you bring your RV to a campground, it's essential to have full hookup options. That includes electricity, sewer, and water. At the very least, you'll need access to electricity and water, but the sewer is a much-appreciated luxury.

Wifi Access

So many things in your RV rely on internet access. That includes all of your phones, tablets, smart TVs, and other smart devices. If WiFi access is important to your family, check for this amenity before booking an RV site.

Fun Things for Kids to Do

If you have children, there must be fun things for them to do at the camps you visit. Otherwise, they'll tell you how bored they are the entire time. Luckily, most RV camps have features like swimming pools, playgrounds, basketball courts, and recreation centers.

A Firepit

One often overlooked feature of a good RV site is a firepit. It doesn't feel like camping if you can't sit by a fire and roast marshmallows. You need to find out about the firewood rules of each campground, as some places don't allow you to bring in outside wood.

A Small Store for Essential Items

One great feature of some RV campgrounds is a general store. It's nice to have a place to go for everyday items, like food, drinks, medicine, etc., without leaving the campground. Just pay attention to the store's operation times, as it won't be any use to you if it's closed.

Bathrooms with Showers

Even if you're lucky enough to have an RV site with sewer access, it's still nice to have bathrooms and showers at the campground. If someone happens to be using the bathroom or taking a shower in your RV, your other family members can simply walk to the nearest bathroom. It becomes an even more essential feature if you don't have sewer access.

Laundry Facilities

If you travel in your RV often, you already know how difficult it can be to wash your clothes. A campground with laundry facilities on-site will make your stay much more convenient and enjoyable. Roughing it is fun and all, but life is better when you have clean clothes to wear.
